- Americans suddenly seem to realize what people along the Mediterranean Coast have known for centuries: rose can be every bit as compelling as red or white wine, if it's made the right way. For us, that means using 100% Napa Valley fruit; barrel fermenting and sur-lie aging the wine for added richness; and striving for balance and complexity, the common denominators for all great wines.
