- Deep aromas of sweet plums, bing cherries and black currants are woven into complex layers of dark chocolate and vanilla oak. Silky tannins frame the wines rich, full body. The finish is long and pleasantly soft. This is a wonderful example of this classic varietal, and one of the best Merlot releases to date from Rutherford Hill.

- Very ripe fruits of black cherries and plums dominate the heady aromas. Subtle nuances of bay, mint, roasted coffee bean, and spicy vanilla are also evident on the rich, velvety palate. The soft tannins lead to a long, soft finish.

- Wonderful ripe fruit and French oak integrate beautifully into an aromatic sensation! Dark fruit flavors of cherry, currants and plums harmonize with essences of toasted oak, bay, violets and chocolate. A rich, generous fruit entry is elegantly supported on the palate by a firm, tannic framework, leading to a lengthy, impressive finish. Enjoy this truly special offering of Merlot now, or hold 12 to 15 years for added bottle complexity.
