Classic vegetal (green pepper) aromas with tobacco leaf chocolate, coffee, just a hint of barnyard and a pleasant heat. Full of warm ripe black fruit and a lot of structure on the palate, with dark chocolate and more herbal vegetation. Very tasty.

deeply garnet verging on purple, full-bodied, lush tannic structure, balanced acidity. intensely minerally, almost metallic, in a super-appealing way. brambly, blackberry leaf, black coffee or dark cocoa bitterness. a little woody on the finish. I'm stealing this.

Plums and cigar box aromatics preludes a muli-layered palate with elegant tannins.

A red blend made of Cabernet, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. Fruit-driven but possessing the depth of a classic Bordeaux, with flavors of tobacco and blackcurrant. Solid but integrated tannins help this wine hold up to hearty meat-based fare.

(47% cabernet sauvignon, 39% merlot, 7% petit verdot, 4% cabernet franc and 3% malbec): Bright ruby-red. Aromas of plum, minerals, graphite, licorice and mint. Big and rich but firmly structured and tight. Bright acidity--and a smaller percentage... Stephen Tanzer's IWC. On first impression, the nose suggests a quality-driven Left Bank Bordeaux, as herbs, new cedar and cassis mingle brilliantly on the aromatics. A more forward fruit expression of cassis and black plum on the palate is reminiscent of a Napa cab blend... Neil Mechanic. Plum and Cigar box aromatics prelude a multi-layered palate with an elegant tannin structure. A Bordeaux blend that typifies Rustenberg terroir with good ageing potential, if cellared correctly

Dunkles Rubinrot.
