My favorite wine. This wine was a dream come true for my own pallete - thorough tannin integration (still years left on this bottle - felt like amatuer porn night on my tongue), dusty vegetal/mushroomy character, stacked with cherry and berry flavors, and tons of layers (chocolate, anise, match-sticks, and leather). What put this wine over the top for me was its opaque viscosity, and the tingling feeling it left on my tongue. Cons: This wine is not for newbies or fruit-bomb afficionados - God bless 'em. However, if you've grown tired of "candy in a glass" and Bret-infested "old worlds" you gotta try this.

A red blend made of Cabernet, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Fruit driven but has the depth of a classic Bordeaux with tobacco and blackcurrants. Solid but integrated tannins that can hold up to hearty meat fare.
