Notes on the Russian Hill Syrah Windsor Oaks Summit Russian River Valley 2001 : NVWE NOTES: Opaque purple color. Deep purple plum, dark cherry, vanilla, tobacco leaf, leather nose with white pepper, and black pepper underneath andf a general impression of brooding power. Dense, mouthcoating, powerful similar flavors, with lots of dark, submerged cherry,plum and tobacco that expand overnight. Heavy, tight and focused, but decidedly an ager.
