The fact that the 05 Black Guts was drinking so incredibly well within one week of bottling completely blew me away. Structurally it should age for decades, however its approachability at such an early stage gives me the hint that this is the bomb! The vintage was similar to 2004, but lower yielding which has increased the intensity of the wine to previously unsurpassed levels. Think 2002 for balance, and add steroids.
