Running With Scissors Merlot Central Coast NV
Merlot: Running with Scissors has an edge. We grew up believing there are two hared and fast rules in life: Never, ever run with scissors and never sell an award-winning wine for under $15. We believe this last rule was meant to be broken. Our Cutting edge wine showcases classic Central Coast fruit. This medium-bodied Merlot has a rich palate brimming with ripe cherries and raspberries, ending in a satisfying, silky finish. This luscious wine is decadent with dark, rich chocolate. Running With Scissors is an economy wine brand produced in Livermore, California. The wines are mainly single varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Petite Syrah, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, usually priced below $10. Their motto is “Classic wine with an incredible edge.” The cheeky label depicts an ancient “seal” with a classical Greek marathon runner holding a pair of scissors.
Bountiful nose: getting cherry cough syrup. some red, bright fruitiness, and a little bit of creaminess with a hint of chocolate. Taste; weaker on the front side than on the mid-palate. Definitely getting the cherries and chocolate - but it's separate, not like a chocolate covered cherry. Not hot Not a lingering finish. bit of a fruit bomb, but it's more candied fruit.
