External Reviews for Ruinart Dom Ruinart Rosé
A delicious Champagne full of rose petal wheat cherry and citrus notes all supported by a vivid acidity and chalky texture. An innate sense of power on a lightweight frame. Lengthy finish. Drink now through 2006. Wine Spectator.
There’s lovely precision to the integration of this elegant rosé, offering a fine backbone of acidity and a light mousse. The flavors of poached pear, black cherry, fleur de sel, lemon zest and ginger are finely meshed, with a subtle vein of smoky minerality. Drink now through 2023.
An animal aroma, with wild cherry and citrus notes, marks this vinous, concentrated roseacute;. It has power and persistence, thus is more suited to food mdash; think lobster in a cream sauce mdash; than casual sipping. Drink now through 2010.
This is a full-bodied and fruity wine. It has ripe red berry fruits as well as layers of warm citrus and fresh acidity. It’s the richness that shows most strongly here, from the fruit to the texture, very much a house style of Ruinart. Drink now.
The NV Brut Roseacute; is made in a similarly elegant and refined style, even though it isnrsquo;t quite as expressive as the Blanc de Blancs at the outset. With time in the glass the Pinot qualities come through with greater focus. The NV Roseacute; offers excellent length and a polished personality in the signature Ruinart style. This is Lot: LAD7ZCA, disgorged July, 2007. Anticipated maturity: 2008ndash;2011.
An elegant, serious rosé Champagne with none of the tannins that can sneak into rosé; like its traditional sister, the yeasts are demure; delicious berry flavors come through strongly.
Rich and refined, this is a pink bubbly with a serious side. It’s dry, with a vinous edge to the light berry and watermelon flavors. Has fine balance, with a lingering cherry and mineral aftertaste. Drink now through 2010.
In the champagne world where quantity precedes quality Ruinart stands for exclusiveness, elegance and savoir-faire. Ruinart Rosé, as with all Ruinart champagnes, is made with a high proportion of Chardonnay giving great finesse and elegance. The actual blend is 45% Premier Cru Chardonnay and 55 % Premier Cru Pinot Noir. Orange-yellow, rose petal in colour it shows a subtle fruity nose: small red berries such as redcurrant and blackberry. Vigorous and rich with a well-balanced palate this is a fine, smooth, and supple wine with notes of morello cherry.
