Wine Advocate ReviewThe 2005 Chianti Classico Santedame is a Chianti to drink in its youth while its perfumed red fruit remains fresh and lively. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2009.Wine Tasting NotesRuby red in color. The aromas present a distinct mix of floral and fruity notes; ripe plums, cherries and blackberries along with white pepper, roasted coffee and chocolate create a smooth and refined finish. On the palate, the medium-bodied wine is characterized by elegant, fruity notes and smooth, velvety tannins. An impressive finish with lingering notes of strawberry pie and raspberries.

Slightly jammy plum, with floral and mineral notes. Medium-bodied, with a twist of chocolate on the finish. Best after 2003.

Plenty of berry and dried cherry character, with hints of jam. Medium-bodied, with light tannins and a fruity finish. Drink now.

Sweet oak notes of almond, vanilla and honey over a portion of fresh fruit. They also provide a modern approach that will go down well with the international palate. At the same time, the wine has background notes of blue flowers and delicate perfumes that remind you of the beautiful Tuscan territory.
