An awesome IGT blend from Tuscany. The room fills with the juicy aromas of Montmorency cherries from the glass. The fruit is very obvious at first on the palate, but anise, fennel, and rye grain enhance the fruit. Soft tannins come through on the finish, and what a long finish it is. Earthy notes come to the fore as the wine breathes. Truffles, perique pipe tobacco, and rich, black earth are very noticeable in the aroma and taste as time goes on. This wine will go great with any meal including meat as its focus, but enjoying this wine is also easily accomplished with a loaf of French bread, hard cheese and really good salami.

A ripe red, with berry and spice character. Chewy and full-bodied, with a long finish. Builds slowly but surely on the palate. Juicy. Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Best after 2009.

Blackberry, violet and licorice aromas follow through to a full body, with silky tannins. This has sweet fruit, with toasty oak and citrus fruit on the finish. Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Best after 2010.

This red is phenomenal on the nose, with blueberry, light toasty oak, coffee and sweet tobacco. The palate is full and utterly captivating, with its combination of fruit and very subtle, silky tannins. Goes on and on. Best after 2014.

A black sangiovese-based blend (mixed with 25 percent cabernet sauvignon and 25 percent merlot), this is as tough as a young brunello. The tannins are as black as coal, with enough red fruit underneath to carry the wine as it ages. An impressive 2003 for the cellar.

This is an opulent, dense and well-priced blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from Tuscany with rich aromas of black fruit, spice, chocolate, leather and pipe tobacco. You could pair this pretty wine with red meat or oven-roasted pasta.

Winemaker's Notes:

91 Points - Wine Spectator Blackberry violet and licorice aromas follow through to a full body with silky tannins. This has sweet fruit with toasty oak and citrus fruit on the finish. Sangiovese

Tasting Notes:

Color: Ruby red with garnet hues. Aroma: Very complex and inviting with intense mature fruit (cherries, small red and black berries, plums) accompanied by hints of spices, sweet tobacco, toasted wood, and refined ethereal notes on the finish. Tasting profile: Full-bodied and very well-balanced with a perfect union of the Sangiovese, the Merlot, and the Cabernet. Each grape adds distinct varietal traits to the taste. The impressive amount of silky tannins and the full, fruity character contribute to the rich texture and the aromatic persistence is long lingering with hints of vanilla and small red berries.

91 Points - Wine Spectator Blackberry violet and licorice aromas follow through to a full body with silky tannins. This has sweet fruit with toasty oak and citrus fruit on the finish. Sangiovese
