Ruffino Chianti 2009
Aziano is a Tuscan wine which perfectly merges the traditional values of the Chianti Classico territory with the advantages of modern winemaking technology.Fruity and harmonious, the taste reveals velvety tannins and an elegant texture. A long and persistent aftertaste characterizes this wine.
RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
Not bad but a little young.

SENSORY PROPERTIES Colour: Ruby red Aroma: As always this Chianti features a deliciously vinous bouquet, where the floral and fruity notes lead towards a finish of slightly spicy scents of white pepper and hazelnuts. Tasting profile: Medium-bodied, Chianti Ruffino is pleasantly fruity, harmonious and persistent. A young Sangiovese which can be perfectly matched with a wide variety of traditional Italian dishes.
Cherry and currant flavors strike a winning chord in this well-proportioned, well-balanced Chianti that puts its focus squarely on the fruit. Also shows a nice touch of chocolate and spice on the finish, adding to its appeal.
Light red. Vinous red cherry and violet nose exudes considerable charm. Fresh, lively and sweet in the mouth, with syrupy strawberry and red cherry flavors. Bright and fresh if uncomplicated on the finish. A delicious wine that's perfect with pizza and simple pasta dishes.
Here's a steal: A Chianti with clean lines, juicy red fruit in the strawberry and cherry tomato range and light, green olive tannins. It's simple and tastes real, with the length of flavor to stand up to a meaty pasta Bolognese.
