Ruffino always seems to turn out a pretty good Chianti. This one definitely fits that category. Nice fruity aroma that follows through on the tasting. Fairly long and clean finish - the fruity taste lingers. Very good quality wine, particularly considering the price.

nice quaffer, no headache next morning, nice light simple wine. no acidic after taste. good one to have in stock for everyday use. like a nice vino da tavola in a good restaurant in italy
ok - here's the deal. I like Chianti, i just feel like it's waaay overrated; especially when the San Giovese (sp?) grapes are young. with time and age they mature well, without that though - it's too rough around the edges for true connoisseurs... ma, solo secondo me
Light-bodied with hints of spices, this wine should age well over the next 2 years.
I am newer to Chiantis, but tried the Ruffino on a recommendation. Hints of dark fruits, with a woody finish. Flavors are muddled and indistinct. Not a lot of body to this wine, with an unpleasantly tart and acid lingering.
