An aroma of fresh black cherries, bitter chocolate and hint of tobacco. The palate is medium weight, smooth and silky, with black cherry fruit, medium tannin, and invigorating acidity. Good concentration and complexity.
Super well-crafted, with lots of lovely fruit, berry and vanilla flavors, fine tannins and lovely acidity. Has great balance. Drink on release.
A single estate Chianti Classico with fresh cherry flavors and a smooth velvety finish. Complex yet soft, Aziano is a perfect accompaniment to a hearty fare.
Winemaker's Notes:
Always a good value from the celebrated Tuscan producer, Ruffino and showing raspberries on the nose, a full-bodied bargain. Wonderful with roast chicken and, of course, pasta.
Tasting Notes:
Color: Ruby red Aroma: Vibrant and inviting. The Sangiovese based wines of the Chianti Classico regions are characterized by notes of sweet violet, red berries and wild cherries with slightly spicy undertones. The finish reveals hints of aromatic herbs. Tasting profile: Fruity and harmonious, the taste reveals velvety tannins and an elegant texture. A long and persistent aftertaste characterizes this wine.
