What to Expect

Syrah: One of the few grapes to really be a global success. Syrah combines a meaty core of ripe berry fruit with tones that range from herbal to peppery in a package that tends to be medium bodied with good acidity and softer tannins. With age the wines can gain lovely leathery and black olive notes that make them a great match for savory and gamy dishes.

Herb stems, black pepper, hung game, pink peppercorn great spicy tones, a touch of vanilla, integrated spicy oak, violets, salame, licorice, cinnamon, thyme, this is amazingly complex and gains a great grilled beef note with air.. Rich in the mouth with a choclaltely edge to the black raspberry, loganberry fruit. There’re fine acids and an extra layer of wood tannin that quickly makes itself know. The fruit is rich and spicy with good depth but the oak, especially the tannin, is too prominent right now. This needs food and/or age. Black fruits mix with an earthy, leathery nose. Thick concentrated juice. Very musty, earthy and tannic. The wines still young, but shows excellent potential. Lots of acidity on the finish.
