Rubicon Cask is their finest expression of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from this historic estate in Rutherford. Originally the Niebaum estate, wine grapes have been grown on this property since the 1800's. Grapes for this wine were sourced from two vineyards, the Cohn and the Chateau, right in the Rutherford bench. Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored this 94 points "An exceptionally good wine, right up there with the fantastic 2007 Cask. Classic Rutherford Cabernet, dry, softly tannic and delicious, with herb-infused blackberry and cherry fruit. Definitively not in the modern style of fat overripeness, but balanced and elegant. Shows all the hallmarks of an ageable wine, but you can drink it now. It gets better and better as it breathes in the glass." Limited!
