For proof of this, just go to Château d'Arsac, set a few miles from La Winery. Bought by Philippe Raoux in 1986 when it was in ruins, this winemaking estate has been restored to its rightful place among the elite after a bold renovation plan. It now has 112 hectares (54 of which are in the Margaux AOC). The estate is also home to a collection of works of art by the greatest contemporary artists - Niki de Saint-Phalle, Claude Viallat, Bernard Pagès, Vincent Monthier, Jean-Pierre Raynaud, Bernar Venet…) - propelling the château into the spotlight of modernity.
