Notes on the Rozak Vintners Chardonnay Santa Maria Valley 2005 : NVWE NOTES: This initially attractive Chardonnay grows significantly more so as it airs, revealing bright, gently creamy aromas of baked apple and lemon custard along with hints of orange zest. Although palate-coating and rich in body, there is a delightful sense of weightlessness to its flavors of lemon custard, apple, nutmeg and roasted grain. It is long and delicious to sip, but might find even better service alongside halibut in butter sauce or baked pork chops with apples.
