I received a bottle of Royal Bitch Merlot 2008 as a gift in '10' & cracked it open in early '11'. The flavor was assertive with most notably prune & olive flavors. This combination of flavors was a difficult match. I try to find a positive in all wines experienced, but after a period of time & several tastes of this wine; we decided that it wasn't even good enough to add to the red wine vinegar jug. We probably consumed less than an ounce, before deciding that we couldn't drink any more of it. I rate this wine very poor. The rest of the bottle ended up gong down the drain of our kitchen sink.

This merlot has well-integrated notes of black pepper, raspberry and vanilla. Lively red color and supple tannins hold together in the long, focused finish. - Winery
