Roussette de Savoie Adrien Vacher 2017

Member Review by duncan 906:

I bought this bottle of wine for 5.85 euros the last time I was in Calais. Roussette de Savoie is an appellation created in 1973,although viticulture here goes back centuries.for white wines made of the altesse grape, known in this area as rousssette, from 53 communes in the western part of Savoy. My bottle comes from a family concern in this area and I started it last night with my supper of fishcakes. It is a dry wine with some spicy orange peel like fruit although it is not particularly acidic. It was not totally bland but I have had white wines with more flavours than this.It was certainly different but it was a good match for the fish cakes
