- This 2004 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon was made especially for Zachys from the Premiere Napa Valley wine auction by Round Pond vineyards.An intense, yet supple and harmonious Cabernet with tiers of currant, spice, nutmeg, herb, loamy earth and cedary oak. Wins points for its subtlety and finesse, yet the tannins are mouthcoating and polished.

Rich with a hot nose. Cassis, plums, cocoa, spice and chocolate. Crushed vanilla bean. Good tannins which will age well and allow the wine to gain its secondary flavors. Tart finish, as you'd expect from this tight wine.
Overall this was more of a classical napa cab than the previous two vintages.

- Black fruit flavors, oak, chocolate and berries. It's still kind of young, but drinking well nonetheless. Earthy and smooth with bright concentrated fruit.
