Very pretty on the nose, with a gentle base of floral, acacia, some gum and a hint of chalk, over spiced apple fruit that really pops on the palate. This is very well balanced, with a nice edge of spice, just a hint of yeast to add complexity and pure apple, yellow plum and light spice coming together nicely in the mouth. The finish is a touch short but nicely clear, with citrus overtones to the bitter apple peel fruit. 87pts

Used the bottle to toast all mothers on Mother's Day 2013. Also toasted my need to buy more bubbly because this was the last of the sparkling wine in my modest cellar/collection. The contents of the bottle proved adequate for the occasion to my nose and taste buds. Good value and I will look for it again.

This wine is 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir. It?s fresh and fragrant, just sweet enough to draw you in. The fruit, however, is on the leaner, tighter side of things, and the feel across the palate is high-toned. With a touch more richness it would be friendlier. Best Buy. ?M.S.
