For a 6 year old wine, it's holding its fruit very well. Bright and fruit forward. The nose is odd -- I'm getting roast beef, chalk, and black fruits. Medium bodied with medium to high tannins. The earth is not overpowering.
All in all, an interesting bottle of wine but I'd steer clear next time because it wasn't 100% pleasant.
