Winemaker's Notes:
The Uccelliera Rosso is highly limited in production, featuring an unusually powerful nose. This med-red colored wine is filled with aromas of crunchy dark cherries and black currants, compounded by smoky and tobacco notes. Pure and unctuous in the mouth with loads of fruit and glycerin. Finishes with balance and ripe tannins.

In Castelnuovo dell'Abate, where my family verwuzelt is and always with the work on the country and was connected to the village, I could acquire at the end of 1986 a farmhouse with property and continue with it this tradition. The Natural suitability of this soil for the cultivation of the wine and olivenbeaumen as well as my business spirit me difficult moments to overcome.

This estate is located in the southern part of the Montalcino DOCG and was formerly part of the Ciacci Piccolomini's holdings. The wines are big and bold, though far from opaque, and filled with dark cherry fruit.
