What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Chardonnay is most closely associated with France's Burgundy region and California's Northern valleys though it has proven successful around the globe.

Winemakers Notes

These are the one-of-a-kind Sofia Minis, our Proseco style sparkling wine presented in delightful aluminum containers. Excellent for all special occasions, from gala openings to bridal showers. Picnics too! Each Mini comes with a straw attached to add to the fun.
The grapes for our Sofia are grown in northern Monterey County where gentle breezes from Monterey Bay contribute to the long, cool growing season. In this environment Pinot Blanc, the main component of Sofia, ripens optimally and develops ripe flavors while still preserving vibrant acidity in the grapes.

Rating: 93/100 - As reviewed by AmericanWinery.com I love the packaging for this wine - it is the perfect take-along for your picnic or trip to the lake. The straw that comes with each Mini makes this Blanc de Blancs a little too fizzy - try it without and if you want some extra fizzle the straw is the way to go! I'm going to have to stock up on this for the summer!

No pretension or snobbery, this stuff is a great summer wine at a great value. Convenient and practical packaging make this sweet wine all the better to enjoy when it starts to warm up outside. The can and brand name might pique your curiosity, but the wine itself warrants a try on its own!
