Winemakers Notes
Why do we call this wine the reverend? Wait until you taste it. Just like an old fire and brimstone sermon, it starts easy and lures you in with scents of Christmas spices. And then it kicks up the volume with an explosion of juicy red and black berries, plums and chocolate. To finish you are called up to the altar to be healed by a smack to the forehead of spicy, smooth tannins. You'll be back next Sunday for some more.

Reviews for 2005 Vintage
Like the previous Reverends, this one does not disappoint. Well made. Great Zin berry type fruit. Goes extremely well with grilled lamb.
An outstanding zin, great aroma and an outstanding flavor. I would stock up on this wine if you can still find it.
All I have to say about this one is, WOW. We visited their new Sonoma tasting room last weekend and this bottle called to me. Not sure which reverend they've named it after, but this wine is every bit as exciting as a Reverend Horton Heat show!!
A great zin, I enjoy the complexity of the taste and the aroma is enjoyable.
Nice long finish on this brambly blackberry-flavored wine. Cracked pepper aromas and spiciness on the finish.
Rating: EXCELLENT Top-notch of its type - As reviewed by Food & Wine - 2009 Wine Guide on 2009. Roshambo may not take itself very seriously, but it certainly makes serious wine. The Reverend's jammy, dark berry flavors come with nicely detailed notes of cigar box, cedary spice and dark chocolate and just the right amount of tannin.
The first sip of this wine is all too often followed by the urge to bite into the glass. Its dark garnet appearance is innocent enough. Its texture is silky, not impenetrable like some of the hideously over-extracted monsters out there. But don?t be
