Rosenthal

Winemaker's Notes:

Employing the talents of more than 100 famous artists and designers, Germany's forward-thinking Rosenthal produces original products that reflect the aesthetic, value, and spirit of their time. The Palladiana series was created by the famous Italian designer, Piero Fornasetti. His use of opulent decoration showed an Italian's love of display and luxury but he always applied it to simple designs. The effect is to turn a common plate, mug or teapot into an object you think you are looking at for the first time. His Palladiana vase is a classic example - a black and white sketch of a Palladian building is wrapped around the sides of the vase.
