Rosenblum Cellars Zinfandel Vintners Cuvee XXXI California 1994
Wine Tasting Notes The Cuvee features aromas of black cherry, blackberry and raspberry, as well as spice and vanilla overtones. It is a friendly, drinkable, zesty style Zinfandel at a very affordable price. Medium-bodied and replete with acidity, this food-friendly wine pairs well with pizza, pasta, barbecue meats and poultry, as well as Italian and Mediterranean style foods.
Plum and other berries on the nose. Very hot and acidic. Black pepper and an odd mix of subtle strawberries and Robitussin (but in a good way).
Barrel aged, 40% French Oak and 60% American Oak with an alcohol content of 14.6%. Not too spicy, but definitely a fruit-forward wine; raspberry and cherry flavors and overtones of vanilla. Great value for the money ($8.49).
Strong hint of smoke, black pepper, and blueberry on the nose, blueberry overwhelms on the mid-palate and finish. 87 points.
Surprisingly quite a bit smoother than I was expecting. I agree with a previous reviewer about this wine being hot and acidic. Very pretty dark rose color. Decent wine for the price.
Rich fruit taste and smooth for the price. I like it much better than the next vintage xxxii.

Always a good value, the 2005 Vintner's Cuvee XXIX is a blend of 92% Zinfandel and 8% Petite Sirah. A tarry, herbal, peppery effort with soft fruit and an easy to drink style, it should be consumed over the next 1-2 years.
This is one of the most reliable Zinfandels in the market today. It is soft, smooth and has typical "Zin" style. Enjoy with hot dogs, chips and dips and friends.
Kent Rosenblum is a California Zin master. This blend is from Lodi, Mendocino County, Paso Robles and Lake County. Rich and broad-shouldered, with lively spice, wild berry, plum and blackberry flavors anchored by chewy tannins.
This is a good price for a wine of this caliber. Rich and thick in jammy cherry, mocha and spice flavors. Dry, and with ripe, sweet tannins, it's a little hot in alcohol, but just fine with ribs slathered in sauce.
Zesty wild berry flavors are medium-weight, clean and refreshing, ending with a berry edge and a hint of oak. Drink now.
Superripe tasting, with gobs of raspberry jam flavors and a spicy, cedary note that's a bit rustic and tannic, but nothing that a slice of pizza won't resolve. Drink now.
This zinfandel's bold character puts it in a class of its own. It opens with a robust, fruit-infused flavor. Hints of cherry and raspberry linger on the palate. Its finish is exceptionally smooth and comforting. Enjoy this balanced, value-priced wine tonight.
