Outstanding, jammy explosion with a rich chocolate finish. Rosenblum makes great zines in general but this one is truly outstanding and worth every penny.
Tasted at Allied Beverage Group Spring Wine Gala 4/22/10 at Trump Plaza.
Hints of cherries and blackberries. Very Pleasant, almost like chocolate candy
this is a big jammy zinfandel, with dark fruits, mild spice notes and a moderate length finish. while it was very enjoyable to drink, the overt jammy quality reduces its ability to pair w/ foods. for under $20 though, i consider it a very nice buy, either for bbq, a casual meal, or just sipping.
I am shocked at how cheaply priced this wine is compared to the high quality of it. If you enjoy fruity zins you really cant go wrong, and if you don't like it well its only $15, but I'm sure you will. At first I was hesitant to try a Contra Cost County wine, its very surprising.
Pepper, pickle, plum, oak, soap flavors. Flavorful mouth Puckering and drying. An average wine.

92 Points - Connoisseurs' GuideA deep, purple hue leads ultra-ripe blackberry, boysenberry, briar and cocoa aromas in our 2007 Rockpile Road Zinfandel. Across the midpalate, a complex layering of rich, dark fruit develops, balanced by complex wood tannins that flank the tongue and pick up bright currant notes through the lengthy finish. It makes an excellent companion to similarly brazen flavors such as osso bucco, braised short ribs or herb-encrusted rack of lamb.
A deliciously rich and plush young Zin, with layers of ripe, zesty blackberry, boysenberry and wild berry fruit shaded by toasty oak, finishing with a plush, rich aftertaste. Drink now through 2009.
This offers plenty of toasty oak aromas and flavors, with ripe blackberry and wild berry fruit and touches of tobacco, black licorice, cedar and spice. Ends with a pleasant road tar edge and ripe tannins. Drink now through 2016. 838 cases made. -JL ** Only 6 in Stock **
A Zinfandel wine from California in USA. 2007 Rosenblum Cellars Zinfandel Richard Sauret Vineyard 750ml
Searching for a somewhat dry Zinfandel that will go great with your burger? Herersquo;s your wine! Aged in a combination of French and American oak, this Zin shows off notes of rhubarb, raspberries, violets and cracked pepper. One sip is all you need to realize this full-bodied wine is saturated with blackberry marmalade and chocolate covered cherries. It has supple tannins and is somewhat chewy. A must-have to accompany your summer barbecue or burger night with friends!
Rich and robust, flavors of blackberry, black cherry and raspberry mingle with spice and vanilla in the nose. This will nicely accompany hearty pasta and grilled marinated salmon, slow-smoked pork ribs, or duck à l’orange.
