Hints of cherries and blackberries. Very Pleasant, almost like chocolate candy
this is a big jammy zinfandel, with dark fruits, mild spice notes and a moderate length finish. while it was very enjoyable to drink, the overt jammy quality reduces its ability to pair w/ foods. for under $20 though, i consider it a very nice buy, either for bbq, a casual meal, or just sipping.
I am shocked at how cheaply priced this wine is compared to the high quality of it. If you enjoy fruity zins you really cant go wrong, and if you don't like it well its only $15, but I'm sure you will. At first I was hesitant to try a Contra Cost County wine, its very surprising.
Pepper, pickle, plum, oak, soap flavors. Flavorful mouth Puckering and drying. An average wine.

Across the midpalate, a complex layering of rich, dark fruit develops, balanced by complex wood tannins that flank the tongue and pick up bright currant notes through the lengthy finish. It makes an excellent companion to similarly brazen flavors such as osso bucco, braised short ribs or herb-encrusted rack of lamb.
Rich and robust, flavors of blackberry, black cherry and raspberry mingle with spice and vanilla in the nose. This will nicely accompany hearty pasta and grilled marinated salmon, slow-smoked pork ribs, or duck à l’orange.
