Deep dark red plum color. Oaky, musty nose. Fairly big in the mouth. Very fruity on the tip of the tongue--plum, cherry--almost, not quite, sweet. Rough tannin and oak are noticeably. This one points to the big jammy Zinfandel style that you either love or hate, but it really doesn't go there. Looking forward to having this one with a grilled sirloin in a little bit. US$29.99 last July.
