Rosenblum Cellars Viognier Kathy's Cuvee California 2009
This Chardonnay Cuvee stands apart with its crisp, lean style and bright, refreshing character. Apple and pear aromas dominate the nose, brushed with a touch of vanilla to round the edges. The palate pops with green pear and Granny Smith apple, joined by a tantalizing citrus that weaves through the smooth finish. The austere fruit and lively acids of this Chardonnay are ideal for pairing with food, especially seafood dishes such as poached trout or salmon with lemon cream sauce.
RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
I'm not an expert in white wines but this one seems to be nice. Sweet candy nose and spicy walnuts in flavour. Keep in mind, acidity and sweetness may vary depending on temperature. It shows more acidity right out of fridge and becomes more sweet at room temperature.
Apples and pears. Sweet.
Very fruity - Jammy even. Let it breathe for awhile before drinking.
I have tried several Rosenblum zins and found them to be some of the best, so when I tried the cab I found it to be quite pleasant and at a price that vey affordable. I love to drink this wine as a daily choice.

A blend of Cabernet grapes from all over California, the Vintner's Cuvee is a great introduction to Rosenblum's wines. Fruit forward with a medium body and bright acidity.
Another stellar value wine from Kent Rosenblum: subtle use of oak, orchard fruit and mouth-watering acidity.
The Cabernet Sauvignon for this wine was sourced from two coastal growing regions known for their rich varietal expression, balanced flavors and dominant fruit profile. A majority of the fruit came from Paso Robles. Situated in the cooler regions of the county, the vineyards are influenced by Pacific breezes that funnel through the Templeton Gap, tempering the warm days and lengthening the growing season. The resulting fruit shows bright flavors and good balance. The remainder of the grapes comes from warmer areas of Monterey County, which give the wine its fleshy red fruit and sturdy tannins. 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot aged 12 months in French, American and European oak barrels. A super value!
