Food Pairings for Rosemount Estate Shiraz Mclaren Vale
''tremendous'' Very fruity goes down very well indeed esp when its at a nice warm room temp
Nice shiraz to pick for that price.
Spicy. Fruity. Sweet. Balanced. Smooth.
It was a full bodied, generous wine. I have not the palate to describe it as experts do, but I definately liked it more than most reds, and plan to stock several cases.
At $6 this is a gem of a bottle. I haven't had a better bottle Shiraz anywhere near this price range. I would say buy at anything >$15 but definitely under $10. Paired well with grilled chicken and beef stew (separate meals.)
solid value, smooth, goes well with a lot of things, right up there with a midprice Italian Sangiovese
great wine for the money - always reliable - not too tannic, nice fruit, good balance
External Reviews for Rosemount Estate Shiraz Mclaren Vale
This is Everyman's Shiraz, made to appeal to the masses - and appeal it does with bouncy mixed fruit, medium body and judicious oak. The nose, too, will reel the crowds in, with its jammy grape and raspberry fruit.
Bright, jazzy and flavorful, a lively mouthfull of blackberry, cherry, pepper and floral flavors, which linger nicely on the balanced finish. Much improved over 2001, but it's a lighter style than it used to be. Drink now through 2004.
A delicious aroma of warm, spicy licorice and brambly berry fruit, interwoven with savory American oak. The palate is richly textured with well-defined, ripe blackberry fruit flavors, soft and generous tannins on the mid-palate, and a long, rich finish.
Filled with bright, bouncy cherry-berry fruit and imbued with a slightly viscous mouthfeel, this fun, gulpable Shiraz won't break the bank. Its easygoing nature makes it worth having on hand for your next barbecue.
Beautifully orchestrated cherry, berry and spicy-pepper flavors up front, but the intensity tapers off on the finish. Still, it's a tasty glass of Shiraz that won't short-change you on flavor. Try it from 1994 to 1998.
A noteworthy value, the dark ruby-colored 2002 Shiraz exhibits blackberry, earthy, and floral notes. Medium-bodied, with admirable stuffing, and no hard edges, it will drink well for 2-3 years.
Ripe, rich and intense, packed with a solid core of plum, prune and black cherry flavors wrapped in warm, spicy, vanilla-scented oak notes. A complex red wine that's balanced to drink now.
A full bodied, juicy sweet palate with cherry, chocolate and plum flavours with a smooth finish.
