If you can find this vintage (2005) on the shelf at your favorite wine store as of this writing (July, 2009) - snap it up. A ripe fruit bomb with a nice lip-smacking acidity. Could use some time in a decanter. This is a $10 wine that drops sediment. Very fresh and appealing. Simply delicious.
Deep plum and cherry. nice balance at this point- doubt it is going to get much better. been drinking this case over the past four years and it has really come along.

The 1997 Grenache/Shiraz, made from 65% of the former and 35% of the latter, is a lighter-styled, almost Beaujolais-like red wine with a light ruby color, gobs of black cherry and framboise-like fruit, an alluring level of glycerin, and soft, easy-going flavors that flow across the palate with considerable suppleness. Drink it over the next year.
Simple, sweet-tasting and slightly candied, this bouncy drink is best served slightly chilled. Think of it as an introduction to wine mdash; something to explore after white Zinfandel.
Is this Australiarsquo;s answer to Beaujolais? The sweet black cherries are accented by tart red berries fore (on the nose) and aft (on the finish). Some sweet caramel flavors and negligible tannins make this easy to gulp.
Silky stuff, appealing for its texture and pretty blueberry and blackberry flavors, lingering gently on the lithe finish. Drink now.
The 1998 Grenache/Shiraz (65% Grenache and 35% Shiraz) reveals a Cotes du Rhone, kirsch, peppery character to its medium ruby-colored personality. Soft, refreshing, and easy to understand and consume, it is an ideal bisto red. Drink it over the next 1ndash;2 years.
Bright, vivid flavors of blackberry, cherry and cut flowers do a lively dance through a lithe, polished frame. Drink now.
