Soft and appealing for its blueberry-scented currant and cedar flavors. Drink now.
A first-rate Merlot, this big-boned wine has juicy, rich flavors that explode out of the glass and last right through the rich, long finish. Itrsquo;s generous, but well made, with nice oak shadings. This is the kind of wine to bring along to the beach. Everyone will like it.
Light and simple, with an earthy edge to the blueberry fruit. Drink now.
Ripe, fleshy and appealing for its raspberry and currant flavors. Hints at mint and cream as the finish lingers. Drink now through 2009.
Reflects rich and generous aromatics that offer an array of dark plums and sweet red apples. Flavors are plump and ripe with layers of dark cherries set against a well integrated vanillin oak character.
Aromas are lactic and creamy out of the gate, and go sweet and candied with air. Fruit on the palate is lackluster, the smooth wood flavors and feel dominating.
Smooth and round, with generous currant and berry flavors that echo nicely on the firm finish.

Budburst and flowering were good in most districts and rain in Spring promoted luscious growth. Mid January experienced a dramatic climate change with a long period of intense heat which brought the vintage on a lot sooner than normal. An impressive, complex nose with aromas of violets, plum and blackberry melding with hints of oak. A palate full of generous, dark fruit flavors complimented by touches of spice and oak. Fine tannins support the long finish.
