I don't think this aged as nicely as I expected it to. It is a nice aged chardonnay with a decent nutty character that one might expect, but it's not so well balanced and integrated. It was much better when young. [89]

2001 Roxburgh has a deep straw colour with a light green hue. The aroma is complex with up front fruit supported by well-integrated oak characters. The palate shows expressive ripe peach and apricot fruit, perfectly balanced by fine natural acidity. The vibrantly complex fruit flavours combine with the subtle toast and creamy notes of new French oak to create a sustained full flavoured finish.
