Rosemount Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Orange Orange Vineyard 2002

Member Review by colinrchorley:

On first taste, this is really good. Pours a dark purple, dark cherry, blackberry, tar, slight liquorice and a controlled cool spice are the main factors. But after a couple of glasses the complexity seems to get a little lost and starts melding towards mass produced standard Aussie Cab Sav. Maybe letting it breathe is the wrong thing to do as it tastes better at the start.

Rosemount Estates:
Rosemount Estate's vision began in the Hunter Valley region of Australia. Though much has changed at the estate over the years, the original commitment to quality has remained pivotal to the success of the now world-famous winery that is Rosemount Estate.

Smooth and complex - good value at NZ$24 (special @ our local supermarket) but overpriced at the usual price of NZ$40.
