Rosemount set the standard for good, inexpensive Aussie shiraz with the sweet, black-fruited style of this wine. Its spicy black pepper finish will meld with any grilled meats.
The Diamond Label Shiraz has a full-bodied, juicy-sweet palate with cherry, chocolate, cherry pip and plum flavors. The finish is supported by well-balanced, long, silky smooth tannins. It is this fantastic balance that allows for great drinkability. - Winery
A noteworthy value, the dark ruby-colored 2002 Shiraz exhibits blackberry, earthy, and floral notes. Medium-bodied, with admirable stuffing, and no hard edges, it will drink well for 2ndash;3 years.
On the lighter side for Shiraz. Open-textured, with pretty plum and currant flavors, lingering softly on the finish. Drink now through 2010.
Bursting with fruit, herersquo;s a lively, generous, amazingly supple Shiraz mdash; a mouthful of blackberry, anise, chocolate and spice notes that remain rich and vibrant through the finish. Approachable now, but at its best from 2000. From a trusted winery, and reasonably priced.
A very good year for the Diamond Label Shiraz. Itrsquo;s a chunky, sturdy red with mixed plums and a ribbon of mocha or chocolate from the nose through to the finish. Not overdone, and very enjoyable.
