This is Everymanrsquo;s Shiraz, made to appeal to the masses mdash; and appeal it does with bouncy mixed fruit, medium body and judicious oak. The nose, too, will reel the crowds in, with its jammy grape and raspberry fruit.
Bright, jazzy and flavorful, a lively mouthfull of blackberry, cherry, pepper and floral flavors, which linger nicely on the balanced finish. Much improved over 2001, but itrsquo;s a lighter style than it used to be. Drink now through 2004.
Bursting with fruit, herersquo;s a lively, generous, amazingly supple Shiraz mdash; a mouthful of blackberry, anise, chocolate and spice notes that remain rich and vibrant through the finish. Approachable now, but at its best from 2000. From a trusted winery, and reasonably priced.
Beautifully orchestrated cherry, berry and spicy-pepper flavors up front, but the intensity tapers off on the finish. Still, itrsquo;s a tasty glass of Shiraz that wonrsquo;t short-change you on flavor. Try it from 1994 to 1998.
Ripe, rich and intense, packed with a solid core of plum, prune and black cherry flavors wrapped in warm, spicy, vanilla-scented oak notes. A complex red wine thatrsquo;s balanced to drink now.
A very good year for the Diamond Label Shiraz. Itrsquo;s a chunky, sturdy red with mixed plums and a ribbon of mocha or chocolate from the nose through to the finish. Not overdone, and very enjoyable.
