Editorial Reviews for Rosé Zweigelt
Very fragrant, very mineral, distinct underlay of white pepper with a touch of mace, toasted pecan, pear fruit with an almost apricot tinge – rich and round on entry, this is really well balanced, firmly medium bodied, richly fruited with an edge of spice and zesty acidity that lends the orchard fruits a fine citrus element with a touch of quince on the moderately long finish which shows a touch of green pear skin and herb on the finale. 91pts

Great tasting wine with citrus and floral hints.
It was fine but not remarkable. I would have liked more minerality.
Great white with nice hints of pineapple, peaches and citrus. I get a bit of roses and other flowers on the nose which is a nice contrast to the bright and almost sparkling quality of the wine. Great to drink on a hot summer day.
Fred Loimer owns 26 hectares planted with a range of varieties, around Langenlois, in the Kamptal region of Lower Austria. Unlike many Austrian producers who go for an overly rich and sweet style, Fred gets full ripeness in the vineyard yet ferments to dryness, managing to produce wines with lovely definition, zest and balance on the palate. This is a classic dry Grüner Veltliner, with spicy, peppery, and even exotic perfumes of grapefruit and pineapple. Medium bodied, with good levels of acidity and minerality on the palate, making this a wine of some depth and complexity.
