What to Expect

Dolcetto is one of the most common grapes from Italy's Piedmont region. Its name refers to the sweetness of the grape, and while the wine can be fruity it is not sweet - in fact it often has a touch of bitterness on the finish. Dolcetto has moderate acidity and tannins and is generally made in an approachable style that highlights the grape's natural fruitiness which recalls blackberry and plum.

Winemakers Notes

If Piedmont Dolcettos have piqued your interest but left you unsatisfied, try this. Estate grown, fully ripe in a prime location, our Dolcetto is not an afterthought. Packed with cherry fruit, full bodied with toothsome tannins this wine showcases what Dolcetto can be when given the respect it deserves. Not for the faint of heart.

I absolutely love this wine! It is rich and full, not for sissies, and great with food.
