Vintage rating: 89 Expected year: 2015. Late ripening fruit that should be consumed within 5 years. A very dark red, going on purple, wine. Scents of ripe red berries intertwined with light spices, vanilla and caramel. The supple tannins, red ripe fruits and dark berries and fresh acidity combined with slight smokiness, vanilla and spices make this a very balanced and surprisingly elegant wine. We have a very versatile wine with a New World profile.

Good wine for the price. Wasn't as vibrant as the 2009 was, but still had a nice balance.
The sommelier where I used to work recommended this to me when we featured it as our wine of the week in our market. One taste and I was hooked! From the initial delicious burst of ripe fruits, to the full bodied taste and finally the excellent finish I enjoyed every drop. I drained the bottle and went back for more. Excellent to pair with meat, but also with a heavier fish like well seasoned salmon. This will be a go to for a while.

Hand sorted and gently crushed at cool temperatures. One-third of the lot is cold macerated between 6 to 8° C, and fermented in stainless steel tanks at 22 to 26°C to preserve the flavors and freshness of the fruit. The rich, ripe profile allows for longer post maceration, resulting in a very smooth texture and soft tannins. Malolactic fermentation with the native bacteria; the wine was aged for 10 months in American and French Oak.
