Rombauer Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Napa 2010
The 2010 vintage in Napa Valley, California was a mild growing season which produced fruit-driven wines with soft tannins. The 2010 Rombauer Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep color with aromas and flavors of tobacco, black currant, and plums that radiate out of the glass with hints of spice. The texture is lush and round with a smooth finish.
Dissappointing. I expected more at this price point. The wine was very tannic. Even after it opened. Yes it's young, but it just didn't deliever the way I wanted it to. Not much nose...and the layers of flavor were minimal.Nice crimson color in the glass Not a bad wine at all...just not that good at this price point. Cheers!
10/28/2012 - LIFE AT YOUR LEISURE LIKES THIS WINE: 93 Points This is one of the best vintages of the Rombauer Cabernet I've tasted. Very chocolaty at the onset with nuances of kirsch, plum jam, licorice, coffee, vanilla, oak, and California earth wrapped in a silky texture and full body. Excellent value and a winner! Drink now until 2020.
