Bright red fruit/cherries and raspberries on the nose. Smooth and tangy palate, maybe still a little closed. Tight acidity right now, with cranberries and raspberries.

Diamond Selection Cabernet Sauvignon Rombauer Vineyards 2005 Diamond Selection Cabernet Sauvignon is robust and velvety. Layers of refined flavor are emphasized by the balanced tannins making this wine very approachable. Rich, plush aromas of mocha and plum bring focus to the ripe fig, black currant and spice. A supple and smooth mouth-feel, this full-bodied wine has a generous finish. Winemakers Comments "The Cabernet Sauvignon for the Diamond Selection comes from our High Ranch Vineyard, located on Bennett Lane below Mount Saint Helena. We select only the highest grade clusters from this 40 acre parcel. The resulting wine is rich and luscious with soft tannins and smooth structure. This wine drinks well now and is a great wine to cellar." Rombauer Vineyards The Rombauer family has over 30 years of winemaking experience in the Napa Valley and is dedicated to family, land, and community. Koerner Rombauer oversees the daily operations. Daughter, Sheana handles special events and promotional marketing while Koerner Rombauer III directs the national sales team.

This wine is a lush, velvety Cabernet with incredible depth and focus. Cassis, pepper, and cedar notes interact in perfect balance. This wine will be drinking well for years to come.
