Rodney Strong Syrah Alexander Valley Ranch 128 2008
The Dry Creek Valley has developed a reputation as one of the premier red wine growing regions in California, and we have been growing wine grapes here for over forty years. Syrah, the noble grape of France's Rhone Valley, has shown that it is particularly well suited to the soils and climate of Dry Creek. We crafted this syrah in our "Winery Within the Winery," where techniques such as cluster presorting, berry sorting, cold soaking, and a free-run only protocol were accomplished in a truly state of the art facility, with small tanks and equipment sized for the most discriminating vineyard selection process.
