A feeling that infuses the air, in harmony with the quality of the light, with the earth’s scent and the fragrance of the breezes, with the march of the seasons and night time silences. Before the eye that ranges unencumbered in all directions, a metaphysical landscape takes shape. A wondrous unfolding of hills, none blocking its neighbour, all offering spacious spectra of colour, yellow to indigo, in luminous waves rolling to a horizon majestically profiled with an ancient volcano, Monte Amiata, beloved of the Etruscans, that enigmatic race that first offered the vine and the olive to the early civilization of the Italic peninsula. This en-lightened land lived an extraordinary moment in Italy’s history, witnessing, if only for a few moments, the dream come true of an ideal city: Siena. This stylish wine has a deep crimson hue and soft mouth feel. Exuding flavors of berries, chocolate, spice, with toasty oak and long, velvety finish. Enjoy this delicious red with pastas in red sauce, roast, or a mild, hard cheese.

Tasted blind, this wine would score 89 or 90 points on most people's scales, but one glance at the crazy low price and you have to give this Merlot a 99! Dark purple in color, with aromas of black briar fruits, vanilla, and framboise, the wine serves up a concentrated mouthful of black forest fruit flavors, smooth, but long and gripping on the palate. A serious Merlot for serious wine lovers.
