Probably one of the best Valpolicellas on the market. Wonderful and plushly intense set of aromatics - black and bing cherry, toasty oak and plum paste all neatly accented with tobacco and a keen hint of wintergreen. What a mouth! Gobs of plum, blueberries, milk chocolate and cedar create the core. A roasted element of coffee and cocoa rounds it out and lacings of sweet black licorice and tar bring your mouth out of its trance. A grip that would do Poli-Grip proud! Don't drink it all at once; your cellar wants a shot at it.
