External Reviews for Rocca Delle Mace Chianti Classico Premier
Ripe berry and plum aromas are followed by a medium body, with fine tannins and a fresh finish. Drink now.
Perfectly nice but a little heavy, with low-to-medium acidity and a stout mouthfeel. Along the way there's rubber, violet and berry aromas as well as chewy cherry and raspberry flavors. Modest on the finish, with easy tannins.
Plum and earth on the nose and palate. Medium-bodied, with light tannins and a clean finish. Drink now.
A vibrant red in color, smoky and lush on the nose. Aromas of smoke, leather, and plummy fruit. Opens on the body showing dense fruit and a long, complex finish. Spaghetti's ideal match.
An historic Chianti Classico made from 90% Sangiovese, 5% Merlot and 5% Canaiolo. Goes great with meat and first courses.
Deep in color, this wine shows sweet, seductive, spicy cherry and plum fruit. It is smooth and elegant by nature, showing its full potential only after breathing. The finish is firm and pleasing. Try this wine - and consider purchasing a case!
Medium- to full-bodied, with ripe plum, cedar and mushroom up front. Quite toasty on the palate, with polished tannins. Well-done. Best after 2002.
