Food Pairings for Roc d'Anglade Vin de Pays du Gard
Remy Pedreno’s domaine is to the west of Nîmes, where his beautifully tended vines give very low yields. The wine is aged for around 18 months in oak, one third new. The grapes are not de-stemmed, and the cuvaison lasts about three weeks. The blend varies with the vintage but usually is about40% Carignan, 20% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre and 20% Syrah.Spicy, soft peppery fruit and good backbone, elegant juicy Grenache with spicy syrah overtones, and a smoky syrah finish.Adapted from grandcruwinesltd.net
