Robert Sinsky Pinot Noir "Vandal Vineyard" 2001

Winemaker's Notes:

The Vandal Pinot Noir one of RSVs Perfect Circle series of wines is always reminiscent of red stone fruit like the tart Santa Rosa plum and Montmorency cherry But it is much more complex than simple fruit Imagine an openair Mediterranean spice market where aromas waft freely in a savory medley of white pepper coriander seed and bay leaf These elements combine with bright pomegranate and sweet earth into a single harmonious perfume This elegant libation rewards lingering for it evolves with each sip driving a desire to come back for more Compared to other RSV Pinot Noirs but not to other new world Pinots the Vandal is big round and voluptuous Structurally it is firm and taut now promising to age gracefully; however this wines ample volume and luscious nature will reward with earlier drinkability than prior bottlings of this wine

Find out why RSV was named Sunset magazine’s tasting room of the year and the Wine Spectator featured it as a must visit winery in Napa Valley. But don’t take their word for it, come see it yourself. Great wine is about good food and good people. You will find all that and more at RSV. Requests for tours are tentative until confirmed via email or phone.
