Robert Sinskey Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap District 2004

Member Review by sophiehudson:

We opened this wine to have with locally farmed beef (rib eyes!) - it was so good - deep red almost black color and really spicy on the nose. The bottle went much too quickly.

To taste an RSV wine at home or in a restaurant is a good thing; however, to experience a flight of RSV wines, in the place they were made, can be a very enlightening experience. Find out why RSV was named Sunset magazine’s tasting room of the year and the Wine Spectator featured it as a must visit winery in Napa Valley. But don’t take their word for it, come see it yourself. Find out why RSV was named Sunset magazine’s tasting room of the year and the Wine Spectator featured it as a must visit winery in Napa Valley. But don’t take their word for it, come see it yourself. Great wine is about good food and good people. You will find all that and more at RSV. Requests for tours are tentative until confirmed via email or phone. Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Impenetrably dark opalescent ruby color with aromas of sweet herb-laced black currant and violet draw you in. This wine is vibrant on the palate and walks a thin line between power and elegance, marrying intensely pure Cabernet fruit and ample structure with the more delicate nuances of the grape. It’s attractive now, but it is one to watch in the cellar.
